Meta on Sept. 8, 2026, entered the personal artificial intelligence agent market with Muse, a consumer agent built to act on a user's behalf for everyday tasks such as email, travel booking and multi-step goals.
Those actions run inside Muse Secure VM, a dedicated cloud virtual machine rather than on the user's device.
Meta says credentials stay in secure storage Muse cannot see, sensitive steps need approval, people control app access, Muse does not feed VM data into Meta's ad system, and training opt-out is offered. Those lines are company claims, not a third-party security audit.
Meta says Muse is available on iOS, Android and muse.ai.
Muse has climbed U.S. app charts since launch. Chart position is a market signal; product safety and reliability remain separately verified.
