Vogue reported on Sept. 23, 2026, that during Act IV of Vogue World 2026: Milano, titled "The Age of Intelligence," four humanoid robots made by Unitree Robotics walked the runway inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The appearance matters because an official Condé Nast fashion franchise is now using live humanoids as a named act about early robotics, not only as backstage novelty, and because the same Unitree brand was on America's Got Talent's finale path the same week.
Vogue's page does not name a Unitree chassis SKU such as H1 or G1. The Cut reported that the bots were not dressed in fashion looks.
Vogue World creative director Juan Costa Paz told Vogue the robots came into the conversation to represent "the beginning of robotics," still "very clunky" in the way early cellphones were suitcase-sized, and meant as an inflection point. "It's fun," he added, "because robots are fun. But it's also terrifying and is meant to say, AI is not going away, and the robots are not going away." Design Scene, covering the same Sept. 22 show, said the Unitree machines entered to Gigi D'Agostino's "L'Amour Toujours," walked, gestured, and waved for reaction, and argued the sequence offered little beyond novelty.
The Cut reported that Meta Glasses sponsored the show and that credits listed OpenAI as providing "additional support," framing those ties as Cut reporting rather than a Vogue-primary fact lock. Independently, CGTN reported on Sept. 21 that Chinese dancer Wu Yufei reached the AGT finale path alongside Unitree robots, citing synchronized dance and kung fu learning. The official America's Got Talent YouTube channel posted Unitree finale and earlier-round performances the same cycle. Unitree is not confirmed as the AGT season winner unless an official NBC result says so.
What remains open is whether Vogue World San Francisco will deepen the robotics brief beyond a walk-on, whether Unitree will attach a named chassis SKU to the Milano appearance, and how fashion audiences weigh Costa Paz's inflection-point framing against Design Scene's novelty critique. Until those points firm up, keep the Vogue runway facts, the Cut sponsorship notes, and the AGT dance coverage on separate attributed tracks.
